Bambalam	Hello, just wondering if development on this BB is dead. Seems to be. Hmm... Maybe if I'm lucky, you'll come back from the dead and view this thread :P. (Holy crap, that rhymed :O!) Anyway, I like elfBB. Lightweight, easy to use. It's just appealing to me. I hope that you (Nikke) revive this project and get some stuff done with it :>. I'm not using it right now, but I've installed it before to check it out. However, if I were to get a BB, it would likely be this or MyBB. By the way, I noticed that you posted that you have "released" version 1.5.51-3. However, all downloads of elfBB are of version 1.5.51-2. No biggy, just an fyi lol.

	Hmm, after I posted this thread, it said it was going to redirect me to my thread. It didn't, however. Instead, I was brought to this page: elfbb.nikc.org/?pg=last&exp=0 Also, can you add a "Preview post" feature?

	Hmm.. now that I think about it, I don't know why I bothered posting in a dead project. Maybe I was hopeful, I mean, the last post by the developer was 12.01.2010 >_>. Anyway, a some other features which would be nice: -Ability to delete one's post -Ability to edit one's post Not sure if they're possible with a forum which doesn't allow user registration. Perhaps you can give possession of the thread/post to an IP? HTML test:

I've been horrendously busy in other projects, mainly work and home-related, and elfbb is (sadly) not a very high priority. I do, however, definitely plan to complete all the features on the roadmap. After that, the project will most likely be discontinued, as the codebase is quite outdated in any case. At the very least, it should be rewritten pretty much from scratch, and I doubt I will have the time and energy required for this. Especially as elfbb doesn't have a wide userbase. A cookie can be used to identify a user (and already is, e.g. for pre-filling the nickname) and enable this. However, in its' current state, elfbb has 2 levels for users; non-admin and admin, and plugging this isn't that straight forward as it would seem, albeit not impossible.

Hehe, if we keep this up at this pace, we could be entertained for years ;-) I do plan to finish, but if you take a look at the roadmap, quite a few items have been scratched. Minor details, but still. Your choice to choose not to use ElfBB is understandable. I probably wouldn't advocate it if someone were to ask me - but rather because of its very old codebase. The reason ElfBB lacks a lot of features present in other boards is its design philosophy. ElfBB was never intended to be a very feature rich board, really the opposite, a very light weight, simple and to the point. Whether you ever read my response or not, I wish you well :-)

	Hahaha, 6 months later and I reply. Looks like I'm on a tract of 6 month reply intervals :P I was going through some old files of mine and found your board and links in there so I decided to drop in. Thanks for your reply. I can't think of anything to say, so I'll just leave it at this. Later :)
